Meet Our Faculty

Dr. Paulette Pitt, P.h.D.

Dr. Pitt is a psychologist who is passionate about psychological assessment for individuals of all ages. Dr. Pitt obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas, a Master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Texas, a Doctoral degree in Psychology from Texas Women’s University, and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the University of North Texas. In addition to academic pursuits, Dr. Pitt completed a postdoctoral training program in School Neuropsychology. Her doctoral psychology internship and two-year postdoctoral fellowship focused on the practice of psychological and neuropsychologicly assessment across the lifespan. She is a Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified School Psychologist, American Board of Psychology Diplomate, and Oklahoma Certified Public School Administrator. Dr. Pitt has over 20 years of experience working with many mental health concerns across a variety of settings. Dr. Pitt established Applied Psychological Assessment of Oklahoma in 2021 to continue her work providing high-quality psychological assessment services to Oklahoma residents.

Michelle Smith

Michelle Smith received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Master of Arts degree in School Psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is a Certified School Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist who has been an active practitioner in School Psychology since 2008. Ms. Smith has significant experience using psychological and neuropsychological measures to evaluate children and adolescents in early childhood, elementary, and secondary settings. Additionally, Ms. Smith has been a valued team member at evaluating a variety of mental health conditions across the lifespan. Ms. Smith specializes in evaluating individuals who are suspected to have Autism and developmental disabilities.

Kaci Martinez

Kaci Martinez is originally from the Central High area in Southwest Oklahoma. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and MAster of Science degree in Psychology from Cameron University. Subsequently, she completed training from East Central University for certification as a School Psychologist. Ms. Martinez has served Oklahoma public schools as a Certified School Psychologist for the past 20 years. She has extensive experience in the administration and interpretation of a variety of psychological and neuropsychogical assessment instruments for a variety of mental health and neurological conditions. Ms. Martinez joined Applied Psychological Assessment of Oklahoma in 2022. Her enthusiasm for assessment is evident in her high quality work with the clients she serves.

Lora Souza

Lora Souza received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Central Oklahoma. She graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, earning a Master of Science degree in School counseling. She was inspired to pursue a career in psychology after working for ten years as a school counselor. Mrs. Souza returned to Southwestern Oklahoma State University where she earned another Master of Science degree in School Psychometry and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology. She has worked as a school Psychologist for the past 5 years and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Mrs. Souza joined Applied Psychological Assessment of Oklahoma in 2022.
